So for the last two days I have been organizing all my quilts and have created a list with the status of each quilt. The first is one I call A Study in Red. I started it in 2013 when I decided I wanted to try an embellished quilt. The foundation of the piece is based on a fabric I dyed 2 years ago using red and black .... and then while it was still wet I sprinkled rock salt on to the fabric. I loved the way it turned out and could never bring myself to cut it up for a pieced quilt, so this seemed the perfect use. I am letting the fabric guide where the needlework is going.
Status Update 1/29/14: This project is currently stalled.
